These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Heritance Planning website at heritanceplanning.com and the provision of our estate planning and tax advisory services. By using our website or engaging our services you agree to these terms in full.

4. Engagement of Services
4.1 Our services are engaged following a free initial consultation. A formal fee agreement will be provided in writing before any work commences.
4.2 Work will not begin until you have confirmed your acceptance of our fee agreement in writing.
4.3 By confirming your acceptance of our fee agreement you enter into a binding contract with Heritance Planning for the provision of the agreed services.
5. Fees and Payment
5.1 All fees are agreed and confirmed in writing before any work begins. Starting prices are shown on our website for guidance only — final fees are based on the complexity of your individual circumstances.
5.2 Fees are payable in full upon completion of your estate plan unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing.
5.3 Payment plans are available on request and must be agreed in writing before work commences.
5.4 We reserve the right to withhold delivery of completed documents until fees have been paid in full.
5.5 All fees are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 You may cancel your engagement of our services at any time before work has commenced for a full refund of any fees paid.
6.2 Where work has commenced cancellation will be subject to a charge reflecting the work completed to the date of cancellation.
6.3 Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of a cancellation request being agreed.

7. Your Responsibilities
7.1 You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and up to date information to enable us to provide our services effectively.
7.2 You must inform us promptly of any changes to your circumstances that may affect your estate plan.
7.3 You are responsible for reviewing all documents carefully before signing and must raise any queries or concerns before signing.
7.4 Once documents have been signed and delivered Heritance Planning accepts no responsibility for errors or omissions that were not raised prior to signing.
8. Our Responsibilities
8.1 We will provide our services with reasonable skill and care in accordance with professional standards.
8.2 We will maintain the confidentiality of all information you provide to us in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8.3 We will communicate clearly and promptly regarding the progress of your estate plan.
8.4 We will notify you promptly of any issues or delays that may affect the delivery of your estate plan.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Heritance Planning's liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the fees paid by you for those services.
9.2 We accept no liability for any indirect, consequential or special loss arising from our services.
9.3 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
9.4 We strongly recommend that you seek independent legal advice if you have any concerns about your estate plan.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All content on the Heritance Planning website — including text, graphics, logos and images — is the intellectual property of Heritance Planning and may not be reproduced without our express written permission.
10.2 Documents prepared by Heritance Planning on your behalf remain your property upon full payment of all fees.
11. Confidentiality
All information provided to Heritance Planning in connection with our services is treated as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your information to any third party without your consent except where required by law. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
12. Tax Advice Disclaimer
Tax advice provided by Heritance Planning is based on current UK tax legislation and HMRC guidance at the time of advice. Tax laws change frequently and we recommend reviewing your estate plan and tax planning strategy regularly. Heritance Planning accepts no liability for changes in tax legislation after the date advice is provided.
13. Document Storage
Completed documents are stored securely in our client portal. We recommend that you also retain original signed copies of all documents in a secure location. Heritance Planning accepts no liability for loss of documents stored solely in our client portal.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
